‘Live by Design’ is the latest single release by Irish indie quartet, Ivy Nations. The young band explores the fast-paced nature of modern technology, with the song providing an effective representation of the barriers we set for ourselves.
The Dublin based band having only formed back in 2015, consistently impress with their statement sound, surprisingly strong for a band still in their infancy. The verses build satisfyingly to the addictive lyrical riffs of the chorus, “We’re never gonna feel it”; a simple but bold statement about the disconnected nature of today’s society
Lead singer Joe Kiernan’s vocals echo those of Alex Trimble (Frontman of Two Door Cinema Club), the fervent polished tones marrying perfectly with the band’s rock-synth sound.
Having already supported the likes of Kodaline, The Academics and The Strypes, it’s clear that their profile is only set to rise as they continue to develop their live performance.
With a sound as distinctive as theirs, it will be exciting to see the places their creativity will take them to next.
