If you’re a fan of quintessential alt/rock, then you’ll absolutely love this new release from Chicago-based band, The Footlight District. Their latest single, ‘Lightning’, was released on 9th September, and follows up on an unbelievable hot streak for the band – if they keep this up, it won’t be long until you’ll see The Footlight District more and more often. Pleasing fans all over the world for years, don’t let this band pass you by!
Continuing to deliver great music, this release follows hits ‘War Paint’ and ‘Hush’, which set themselves up perfectly for a song that is as good as ‘Lightning’. Coming in with a quirky guitar riff that peaks your interest before exploding into rocking drums and rip-roaring guitar riffs, all underpinning vocals that bring the song to life with contagious energy – the music and vocals would be welcome on some classic alt/rock albums, which is a testament to their sound and quality. Continuously getting better with each release, this song is no different; undeniable quality backed by a uniqueness in style and sound that is infinitely interesting, ‘Lightning’ should be in everyone’s playlist.
Having already put out music that has wowed fans in the past with hits such as ‘War Paint’ and ‘Hush’, they look set to have wowed them yet again. With no signs of slowing down, you don’t want to let them go unnoticed – with ‘Lightning’ having been released earlier this month on 9th September, this is your sign to get to know just what they can do! And if you like what you hear just as much as we did, you’ll be happy to know that they’re currently touring around the UK, with their last show on October 17th – get your tickets while you still can and familiarise yourself with The Footlight District, you will not regret it one bit.
