GET YOUR DANCING SHOES READY – THE INTERRUPTERS ARE BACK WITH THEIR FIRST ALBUM IN FOUR YEARS
Everyone’s favourite modern punk rockers have announce their new album will be titled In The Wild and it will be released on August 5th 2022 via Hellcat/Epitaph Records.
In The Wild will be the bands 4th full-length album, and will be produced by the bands guitar play Kevin Bivona. The album was recorded almost entirely at their home studio during lockdown, and has features from punk legends such as Tim Armstrong, Rhoda Dakar, Alex & Greg from Hepcat, and The Skints.
Alongside the announcement of the album, the band have released new single ‘In The Mirror,’ and frankly, its an absolute banger! Fusing together their trademark Ska inspired punk rock sound, with lyrics that are introspective and personal in ways that we haven’t previously heard from the band.
The song focusses on lead singer Aimee Interrupter’s childhood, and raises issues of coming to terms with self-destructive patterns, and running from pain. The lyrics encourage the listener to stop running, and make peace with who we se in the mirror. Perhaps not what you would expect from a band that typically produces party anthems that are sure to fill the deadest of dance floors, but this new direction is welcomed with open arms by the whole team here. You can listen to the single on all streaming platforms right now.
We simply cannot wait for the latest long play serving of punk rock goodness for The Interrupters, and you can get your hands on In The Wild from August 5th.
